Who knew 10kms (6.6m) could feel so far, after 1:40mins of walking I wish I had taken my bike, or better still the bus, or the car?

Wednesday, 5:30am: 18c, sunny – the day begins.
No, not Scarlett, she’s tucked up in bed, sound asleep. We have four burly pool builders rocking onto site at 5:30 in the morning, for no apparent reason. Law here says that you can’t start work until 7:00am, so what the hell are they doing here?
I got up and dressed and told them not to start until 7:00am, next time I look, they’ve gone. Were they ever really there?
Since I’m up anyway, I start cabling the electrical socket for the pool filter, seems that no matter what time you go under a house, it’s always disgusting!
Looking forward to cycling to work at 7:30am, beautiful Spring day!
